When a person gets older, some health conditions and problems will surely start to develop. These health issues include slower metabolism, bladder control, constipation, weight gain, hypertension, stroke, heart diseases, cognitive issues, sensory impairments, oral health issues, arthritis, osteoporosis, and many others.

And compared to men, women are more prone to develop chronic or ongoing diseases and cognitive problems. And this is why it is important to age in a healthy. Healthy aging involves practicing healthy habits like eating healthy, being active, and managing your health conditions.

Here are some more tips for older women on how to take care of themselves as they grow older:

  • Always screen and take tests for cancer, diabetes, blood pressure, bone health, cholesterol, depression, hearing, vision, dental, and others that are significant.
  • For your skin, regularly apply sunscreen to protect it from sun damage and lower the chances of getting a skin cancer.
  • Stop your vices specifically smoking. You hear this advice always but it’s never too late.
