The procedure called juice cleansing is also known as juice fasting which is done through consuming fruits and vegetables juices only. It has a range of health benefits while one of its downsides is that it lacks fiber.

Before doing this, gradually eliminate coffee, refined sugar, meat, dairy products, wheat, alcohol, and nicotine. This way, it will lessen your headache, cravings, and other symptoms of withdrawal while doing the cleansing.

Celery, kale, carrot, cabbage, apple, spinach, beets, and other leafy greens with almond milk, cashew milk, or coconut milk are among the suggested foods.

While doing the cleansing, you may eat gluten-free vegan meals and snacks such as whole grains, fruits, vegetables, soy products, beans, and legumes.

However, if you are on a strict juice diet, all types of solid foods are prohibited. Apart from the abovementioned foods, you must also avoid, eating dairies, meat, poultry, seafood, and fish.

  • When you wake up: Lukewarm water with a splash of fresh lemon juice

  • 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.: Juice (or smoothie/cleanse food)
  • 1 to 2 p.m.: Juice (or smoothie/cleanse food) 
  • 3 to 4 p.m.: Juice, such as beet, carrot, and apple juice
  • 5 to 6 p.m.: Juice (or smoothie/cleanse food)
  • 6 to 8 p.m.: Smoothie or almond or cashew nut “milk”

During the procedure, you can do things such as light physical activity and have a massage. And while doing the cleansing, expect that the procedure will affect your emotions.
