DIABETES & OBESITY – Dr. Willie Ong revealed the secret to avoid these two(2) conditions that are present among many people now.

Visibly, a lot of people are having weight problems nowadays. Some are struggling against obesity brought by the so-called stress eating. Delicious food are everywhere and most people would tend to take relief from eating.

However, extreme eating habits may not be healthy most especially if you are into unhealthy food. Aside from obesity, it can cause health conditions like diabetes. Do you know that there is a secret to avoid these two? That’s what Dr. Willie Ong revealed in a video.

In a video posted on Facebook, Dr. Willie Ong, citing the study from George Washington University, revealed that post meal walk or walking after taking a meal is important in avoiding diabetes and obesity. He advises taking a 10-15 minute walk after taking a meal.

Aside from it helps prevent diabetes and obesity, walking after a meal has a lot of benefits. Here is a list of the other advantages of the post meal walk according to Dr. Willie Ong:

  • It enhances the digestion. Walking can help the small and large intestines move allowing the food to move faster and be digested. It also helps prevent constipation and promotes good waste disposal.
  • It lowers acidity, heart burn, GERD. The movement of the food in the stomach caused by walking further leads to the coming out of acid as well.
  • It reduces triglycerides and cholesterol. According to Doc Willie, triglyceride is a type of fat that is common to the body. It is usually obtained from oils and butter.

Aside from the post meal walk, Dr. Willie Ong also cited the things that should not be done after eating. Here is a list of them as cited in the video:
