LEMON WATER – Is this beverage just all hype? Here are some of the debunked myths about this drink that you probably didn’t know.

Lemon is a citrus fruit that is said to be really healthy and helpful, especially in weight loss.

There is a lot that we can get from lemon-infused water but here are some debunked myths about this drink that you probably don’t know yet:

    It does not speed up your weight loss and it does little when it comes to satiety. Lemon has a fiber called pectin that helps you feel full and satiated but this is not found in the juice. Most of it exist in the rind and not in the juice.
  2. Good for digestion?
    Lemon water and regular water will just do the same in your digestive system.
  3. For detox?
    There’s no scientific evidence to this.
  4. Balance pH levels?
    There’s nothing you consume can balance your body’s pH level. The body works on this and not the food or drinks you consume.
  5. Good for skin?
    Lemon is a great source of vitamin C but this is mostly found on the skin, not in the juice.

Some benefits are blown out of proportion but the bottom line is, there are little to no risks in drinking this. However, you cannot expect any instant or magical changes in your skin and body.
