ULCER – Doctors Willie and Liza Ong cited the three (3) stages of this stomach condition and gave some tips on how to avoid it.

Nowadays, a lot of people are suffering from stomach conditions. Our lifestyle undeniably plays a huge factor on why many of us have these health conditions. One of the most common is ulcer.

The said stomach condition is characterized by a sore on the small intestine (peptic), the lining of the stomach (gastric), or the esophagus (esophageal). It can be caused by several factors including frequent extreme hunger and eating so much spicy and sour food.

Also, ulcer can be caused by unhealthy habits like drinking. In a video, Dr. Willie and Dr. Liza Ong revealed that there are three (3) stages of this health condition. They cited these stages and gave some tips on how to avoid this health condition:

Stages of Ulcer

Stage 1 – There is sore but there are no open wounds.

Stage 2 – The skin broke open giving way for bacteria and acid to come in and eat away parts of the skin.

Stage 3 – The damage extends to the tissue beneath the skin forming a crater. It may need a surgery.

How To Avoid It?

  1. Avoid sour and spicy foods
  2. Eat small amount to avoid stomach damage
  3. Eat banana and drink water
  4. Avoid alcohol
  5. Avoid smoking
  6. Avoid pain relievers if you have empty stomach
  7. Try to loosen your pants too much pressure could damage the stomach

Aside from those stages and tips about ulcer, Dr. Willie and Dr. Liza Ong also cited ways for a healthy digestion. Here is a list of what you must observe based on the video:

  • Eat more slowly
  • Chew your food well
  • Eat more fiber and vegetable
  • Eat small amounts of food every meal
  • Sit and relax your body when you eat
  • Avoid “binging” or overeating
  • Drink eight (8) to ten (10) glasses of water daily
  • Walk for half an hour after eating
  • Exercise regularly
  • Be watchful of your food intake
