CORN RICE – Rice is a great source of energy and apart from white rice, a famous staple in some countries is corn rice, and here are some facts about it.
The prices of white rice have continued to rise but fortunately, there are some other variations that are much cheaper and also healthier. One of these cheaper and healthier alternatives is corn rice. This kind of rice is a typical food in Indonesia. In the Philippines, there’s also quite a pretty percentage of people that eat this as a staple food.
Corn alone is a healthy food. It is packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It has vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin B9 (folic acid), vitamin B6, vitamin B3 (niacin), and potassium. It has other vitamins such as A, C, K, E, and choline.

According to the Philippine Rice Research Institute, a study conducted by the Institute of Human Ecology at the University of the Philippines in Los Baños (UPLB) has gained two positive results in mixing corn rice and white rice: more nutritional, filling, and it is cheaper.
This blend tastes more like white rice but what made it better is that it is healthier than eating white rice only.
