In many cases, some people tend to experience some symptoms, and these symptoms such as tiredness, dry skin, and coughing are actually signs that there’s something that’s missing in your diet.

Food plays a big part in our diet. The way we eat and the type of foods we eat says a lot about how we look from the outside. The foods we take have corresponding effects on our appearance.

Now, if you feel like there’s something off in your diet, here are some symptoms you be experiencing and the reason why this happens:

  • Tired even after a night of rest?
    You might need more iron which is found in foods like lean meat, beans, and fortified cereals. You may also be lacking in vitamin B12 which beef liver and clams have.
  • Headaches?
    You might need more magnesium which you can find in foods like beans, nuts, and green leafy veggies. This mineral helps nerve to properly function and also regulates blood sugar level.
  • Dry eyes?
    It could be because you don’t get enough omega-3 fatty acids. This healthy fat is found in fishes like salmon, mackerel and tuna. Apart from improving your vision, omega-3 fatty acids is also beneficial to age-related macular degeneration and among other health issues.
  • Dry and itchy skin?
    This could mean that your are lacking in vitamin B2 (riboflavin). This particular vitamins helps improve cell growth and it is found in eggs and some vegetables like asparagus and broccoli.
  • Hair loss?
    This possibly indicates you’re lacking in iron. You can get iron from lean meats, beans, or nuts.
  • Gums bleeding?
    Gum disease is caused by lack of vitamin C. This vitamin is found in citrus fruits and some vegetables.
  • Weak mucles?
    This could be a sign that your are not getting enough vitamin B1 or thiamin. Whole grains, pork, fish, some nuts, and beans have this vitamin.
  • Catching colds often?
    You could be lacking from vitamins C and E. These powerful vitamins are helpful to improve your immune system.
  • Weak bones?
