BODY ODOR – Doc Liza Ong tackles and shares to us the simple ingredients that we need in order to treat our body odor naturally without spending so much.

The body odor is the unpleasant smell of our bodies which it releases when bacteria that’s on the skin break down sweat into acids. And we don’t want to have this in order not to cause bad impression to other people or disturb their nose with our not so great smell, right?

According to Doc Liza Ong, body odor is caused by sweating and bacteria. And with this, here are some tips:

  • Antiperspirants in supermarkets can block the glands from sweating and give a great smell of fragrance. To products meant for women, mostly, there are whitening agents for the underarm.
  • Alcohol kills bacteria.
  • Tawas either ready-made or powder-formed.
  • Taking a bath everyday to avoid body odor using anti-bacterial soap and rinsing and washing the hair thoroughly.
  • Use clothing made of cotton and loose shirts.
  • Avoid eating foods with strong smell as it would definitely come out of your body through sweating. Foods such as onion, garlic, spices, tinapa, tuyo, and among others.

These are the ingredients you need to create a mixture to treat your odor naturally:

  • First step, wipe your underarm with alcohol to kill the bacteria.
  • Second, you have two options – the dry and wet mixture.
    • Dry mixture – mix 1 table spoon of corn starch and 1 table spoon of baking soda
    • Wet mixture – mix 1 table spoon of corn starch and 1 table spoon of baking soda with coconut oil

Note: Corn starch and baking soda absorbs moisture in the underarm area and they neutralize acid which will prevent for us to eventually obtain body odor.
