KNEE PAIN REMEDY – Doctors Willie and Liza Ong gave some tips on how to relieve or ease the pain in the knees which are often felt by older people.
Undeniably, nowadays, a lot of health problems that usually come as one gets older before are already affecting individuals regardless of age. One of the undeniable reason is because of the lifestyle people are living now.
Aside from high blood pressure, also among the health problems that exempt no one now are joint and muscle problems. Let us take for example the painful knees. Are you one of those who suffer from it even just after a slight physical activity?
According to Dr. Willie and Liza Ong, one of the causes of the pain in the knees is arthritis. It can be triggered by doing too much physical activity causing the bone to erode or the muscles to be swollen. For the knee pain remedy, massage can be a great help.
In the video, the doctors expressed that it is best to have the sides of the knees massaged to ease the muscles. It can also help loosen the stiffness of the muscles after it was over-used.
After massaging the sides of the knees, stretch it. Doc Willie and Doc Liza expressed that a blind therapist can greatly help as they can identify the muscle that causes the pain. The following exercises may be done based on the video:
- CALF Stretch
- Side Lying-Leg Lift (Do it twice a week)
- Partial Squats (Do it if you are not experiencing knee pain)
- Heel Raise (Do this 20 times daily)
- Bridging (Do this 10 times daily)
- Knee Extension
- Leg Raise
Based on the video, the following exercises should be done in a moderate extent. Too much exercise may do more damage to your knees. The doctors also advise wearing soft shoes and considering weight loss.
