- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- nonstick cooking spray with flour
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons white sugar, or as needed
Here are the steps:
- To make the dough:
– mix the dry ingredients all together in a bowl such as flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt
– make the wet mixture by combining butter, 1 cup white sugar, and brown sugar until you achieve a creamy texture, then put vanilla
– mix the dry and wet with the oats, then cover and chill for an hour - Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Roll the dough into balls then put them on cookie sheets sprayed with floured cooking spray.
- Flatten the balls using a large fork dipped in water and sugar.
- Optional, you may add raisins, dried cranberries, white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, walnuts, pecans, or shredded coconut.
- For some added extra, you may also add cinnamon and molasses.
