Exercises that help tone the abs and hips are some things you might want to consider doing. Burning fat is not an easy task. You must do more than just crunches or situps. The whole body must be moved for an accelerated rate of fat loss.

According to a post from Medical News Today, here are some love handle workouts:

  • Bicycle crunches
This is done by lying flat on the ground and both your legs lifted on bent knees. Abdominal muscles will then contract as you mimic movements like riding a bicycle.
  • Side planks
This is done by lying on one side with your arms extending up and the other serves as support to carry your full weight. Your leg is put on top of another in a straight line then move your hips up and hold this position for 30 seconds.
  • Mountain climbers
In a plank position, do the climbing movements where one leg is bent on your knee toward the chest while the other is extended. You can then switch legs and do the same move.
  • Russian twist
This is done in a seated position with knees bent in front of you then twist your body to the left and then to the right. For a challenge, you may add some weights to this kind of exercise.

There are several factors contributing to the development of these excess fats in our torso like hormones, sleep deprivation, stress, age, being inactive, and certain medical conditions.
