Based on Washington State Department of Health, you can make a disinfecting solution with 2.75% strength, 5.25 to 6.25% strength, or 8.25% strength.

2.75% Bleach Strength

  • For one (1) gallon mixture, mix one (1) gallon of water with 1/3 cup and one (1) spoon of bleach.
  • For one (1) quart mixture, mix one (1) and 1/2 tablespoons of bleach with one (1) quart of water.

5.25% to 6.25% Bleach Strength

  • For one (1) gallon mixture, mix one (1) gallon of water with three (3) tablespoons of bleach.
  • For one (1) quart mixture, mix 2 1/4 teaspoons of bleach with one (1) quart of water.

8.25% Bleach Strength

  • For one (1) gallon mixture, mix one (1) gallon of water with two (2) tablespoons of bleach.
  • For one (1) quart mixture, mix 1 1/2 teaspoons of bleach with one (1) quart of water.

Based on the PDF, the solution can be used to clean diaper change tables, bathrooms, hand washing sinks, soap dispensers, toilet seats, and cabinet handles. It can also be used to clean doorknobs and other parts usually held by the hand.
