According to Doc Liza, if the hypertension is not treated well, it can lead to other complications. The following may be the results of the disease left untreated:
- Arteriosclerosis – the thickening and hardening of the walls of the arteries because of the foods we eat
- Coronary arteries disease – the arteries in our heart is damaged
- Left Ventricular Hypertrophy – enlargement of the heart because of the heavy work of the heart
Based on the video, the eyes and the kidney functions may also be affected by hypertension. If the nerves in the eyes explode due to high BP, it may cause blindness to the person.
