Sometimes, if the schedule’s too tight we tend to be unmindful of what we eat and just consume what’s available and instead of making time to sweat out, we use that time to rest after a rough day.
But to make your life a bit lighter to help you achieve your health goals, here are some debunked myths you probably don’t know yet:
- You don’t need as much as 8 glasses of water every day. To stay hydrated, other forms of liquid such as soup, fruit, and vegetables and drinks like juice, tea, and coffee can help. However, you need more water when your urine is dark yellow, you don’t go regularly, you’re very active, or you live in a hot climate.
- Eggs don’t raise your risk to have heart disease. An egg or two in a day isn’t bad. Eggs actually have essential nutrients like omega-3s.
- The National Cancer Institute has accordingly found no evidence that using antiperspirants cause breast cancer.
- You don’t need to take a multivitamin daily unless your doctor tells you to do so and you’re pregnant. The best way to get essential nutrients is through fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and healthy oils.
- Eating breakfast can make you lose weight but so is if you are not a fan of it. Some people tend to lose 400 fewer calories a day which means that skipping breakfast could help weight loss as per WebMD.
- Arthritis cannot be caused by cracking your joints. However, cracking your knuckles isn’t necessarily good for you as well.
