What is the reason behind getting fat quickly? Doc Willie Ong has an answer to this.
DOC WILLIE ONG – The famous public health expert Doc Willie Ong has this answer about weight gain dilemma which many people are affected.
There are certain things that makes us fat but the core of weight gain is eating too much foods. As much as we are all aware of, being obese or overweight is not healthy and it causes certain health problems.
Here are some explanations from Doc Willie Ong:
- Belly fats – People who are aging above 30 years old have slow metabolism which causes belly fat. The younger ones have fast metabolic rate which makes it easy for them to process the foods they eat.
- Cold water – The belief that drinking cold water makes a person fat is not true because water has zero (0) calories. Actually, water is a great aid for weight loss.
- Sweetened drinks – There is no such thing as drinks that can make you lose weight. The only liquid that can effectively help you shed off some pounds is water. Avoid drinking juices, iced tea, soft drinks, pineapple juice, energy drinks, and bottled teas.
- Siesta – Sleeping in the afternoon does not contribute to weight gain but too much eating does.
- Belly fat after giving birth – The best thing to do about this matter is asking your OB-Gyne. Whether you gave birth naturally or through CS, often times, it takes 6 weeks before you can finally start doing light exercises.
- Slimming tea or slimming pills – These kind of products have laxatives contents which is not good causing diarrhea. And diarrhea can make you release the nutrients and potassium in your body which is very dangerous.
- Eating fruits – Limit your consumption of fruits like mango, grapes, avocado, and pineapple because of their high fructose content which can make you fat and spike up your blood sugar level
Doc Willie stressed in his post that the main reason why a person gets fat is because of excessive eating but lacking in physical exercises. Being sedentary stores fat in the body which makes one person ultimately gain weight. Apples and pears, on the other hand, are great for weight loss.
