A lot of people are frequently dealing with diarrhea or loose bowel movement. On the other side, there are those who usually have to face constipation, a bowel condition wherein a person cannot pass stools regularly.
The said bowel condition exempts no one – it can happen to people regardless of age and gender. Usually, the stool of the person is hard and lumpy thus causing pain to some.
Are you one of those who usually deal with constipation? Dr. Liza Ramoso-Ong got some tips for you on how to avoid it. Based on the video, here is a list of the things that you can do:
- Drink eight (8) to ten (10) glasses of water every day.
- Eat fruits and vegetables most especially watermelon, papaya, pineapple, pears, prune, patola, cabbage, water cabbage, and bitter gourd as they are high in fiber which helps digestion.
- Take some walks to soften your stool instead of forcing to expel it.
- Do not spend so much time sitting in the water closet.
- You may apply some KY gel to help you.
