- overweight: BMI of 25 to 29.9
- obesity: BMI of 30 or higher

- osteoarthritis

- pregnancy problems, such as high blood sugar during pregnancy, high blood pressure, and increased risk for cesarean delivery (C-section)
- clinical depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders
- body pain and difficulty with physical functioning
To gain a pound in a years seems like not a big deal but if you keep on gaining, these pounds can add up over time. Also, the measurement of your waist tells something about your health. If a woman’s waist is over 35 inches and more than 40 inches in men, this could mean higher chances of developing diseases that are linked to obesity and being overweight.
