One of the craze in terms of losing weight is intermittent fasting where a lot of famous personalities have been doing in order to shed off some pounds and maintain their weight. However, what is an intermittent fasting?

Intermittent fasting is a method where an eating pattern is planned which have to be strictly followed. The pattern is the cycle between periods of eating and fasting. This has a lot of methods. When sleeping at night, people tend to fast but putting intermittent into it is extending the fast a bit longer.

According to the video of the actress Alice Dixon, here are the benefits she was able to search:

She wasn’t interested at first in doing this but decided to give it a try because a lot of her friends have been doing this. She started from small steps such as starting up from the 12:12 method where you get to eat for 12 hours and fast for the remaining 12 hours. She gradually increased the hours of her fast until reaching 16:8 where she gets to eat for 8 hours and fast for 16 hours.

It accordingly took her two weeks before she became totally comfortable about the 16:8 method. And one mistake she did during feasting is eating large meals which takes away the weight loss effects of this.

She changed this eventually and started eating lighter and always go for the healthy ones in terms of snacking.

Here are the effects to her in the long run:

  • She doesn’t crave sweets that much. She uses honey as sweetener.
  • She doesn’t feel that full or heavy throughout the day.
  • She was able to control her sense of hunger pangs.
  • She felt lighter and gave her digestive system the rest.
