Dr. Willie Ong Cites Habits That Can Make You Grow Old Fast
HABITS – Popular cardiologist Doctor Willie Ong cited a list of the activities that can make you age or grow old fast.
Undeniably, one of the things that no one can stop is growing old. For kids, birthdays are merely celebrations and fun but for the adults, it is a sign of another year being added to their age. Meanwhile, to live long enough is a blessing that not everyone gets the chance.
However, do you know that we can control aging or getting old even just a bit? Based on a video of Dr. Willie Ong, there are habits that can make us grow old fast. Here is a list of these activities that we must avoid stay young and healthy:
1. Eating unhealthy food
Based on the video, frequent eating of unhealthy food reduces the life expectancy by four (4) years. Doc Willie advises staying away from fatty food, salty food, and sweets. According to him, too much of it may result to diseases such as the following;
- diabetes
- high blood pressure
- cardiovascular problems
2. Avoiding medical check-up
Doc Willie encourages everyone to go for a regular check-up. Avoiding it may reduce the life expectancy by four (4) years. Early diagnosis may increase the chance of recovery and treatment.
3. Lack of exercise
In the video, Dr. Willie Ong expressed that lack of exercise is one of the habits that can make a person age fast. It reduces the life expectancy by seven (7) years. According to the doctor, it is best to exercise at least one (1) hour day and three (3) to five (5) times per week.
By having enough exercise, you can maintain your ideal weight. Also, you can stay away from certain diseases like diabetes, arthritis, and diabetes.
