TAAL VOLCANO – Doctors Willie and Liza Ong cited some emergency first aid tips amid the the ashfall brought by the recent volcanic eruption.
Currently, the public is monitoring the updates regarding the Taal Volcano following a recent eruption. It spew ashes and many people are at risk now.
In the pursuit of putting the people’s safety on top, some local government units, companies, and schools have already suspended work and classes. Exposure to ash may post some health risks.
In fact, not only humans are at risk of inhaling ashes but as well as animals. The pets are better kept indoors as the ashes can post health concerns upon them as well.

1. Wear mask. According to Doc Willie, the mask must be really closed. He suggests using N95 mask.
2. Evacuate if you or someone in the family has asthma, pulmonary conditions, heart ailments, or lung problems. Those with kids and elderly ones are also advised to evacuate.
3. Close your doors and windows in case you cannot go anywhere.
4. Based on the video, you may use nebulizer or oxygen tank. These may be needed for those with asthma.
5. Drink a lot of water.
6. Continue taking your maintenance medicine if you have.
