One of the countries affected by the outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus in China is the Philippines. In the country, there are three (3) confirmed cases of nCoV.
The first and second persons who tested positive for nCoV are a Chinese couple from Wuhan City. They reached PH through Hong Kong and has visited some places like Cebu and Dumaguete before their admission to San Lazaro Hospital in Manila.
The Chinese man in the Philippines became the first coronavirus death case outside China. His remains have already been laid to rest according to the Department of Health (DOH).
The third case of coronavirus in the Philippines is a 60-year-old Chinese national who has already flew back to China. The patient had conflicting results and had already left the country for China when the positive results were out.

Doc Willie stressed that there is still no medicine to treat nCoV and the bigger the population of infected individuals, the higher the number of deaths can be. That is why the authorities closely monitor the disease to curb its spread.
In the video, Dr. Willie Ong differentiated sustained transmission and limited transmission. According to him, it is sustained transmission if the infection continues like in China. In the case of other countries with only one (1) confirmed case of nCoV, it is limited transmission.
According to Doc Willie, there is a risk if the people who had a contact with the Chinese couple who tested positive for nCoV won’t be traced. They can be infected and infect other people as well.
