The method of intermittent fasting has effects on health including weight loss but it is not applicable to everyone. There are several methods for this but before doing such, one has to know if it is good or bad for health.
Doc Willie Ong shares something about this:
- Crash diet is when a person eats so little to lose weight and burn body fats. The only thing about this is it weakens the muscle because of too little nutrients that the body gets, weakens the immune system due to lack of vitamins and minerals, and too much of crash diet might damage the liver.
- Intermittent fasting is when someone eats in 8 hours and eats nothing in the remaining 16 hours. This style for weight still depends on what you eat within the 8 hours.
- People get so obsessed with this that after keeping oneself hungry for 16 hours, you immediately eat too much.
- Taking too much coffee as an alternative to which can cause stress and anxiousness, hunger, and craving.
- Exercising as you do fasting is not good because the body lacks energy due to those hours that you do not eat.
- Fasting causes ulcer, headache, and one can suffer brain fog where you cannot think properly, irritation, and low energy.
- Fasting also has effects on the hormones of women and this is not recommended for pregnant ladies.
