HEALTH TIPS – Doc Willie Ong shares some easy and important tips on what to do to cure sickness, such as colds and fever, right away.
Fever is when the body’s temperature goes above normal range of 36–37° Centigrade (98–100° Fahrenheit). And when this goes up, the body also feels cold. When sick, you wake up to a sore throat, then comes the coughing, sneezing, and sniffling.
However, with these smart moves you must know from Doc Willie Ong, you can feel better sooner than you expect:
- On top of everything, you must seek a doctor’s help and follow all his instruction to cure your sickness.
- Avoid letting your fever spike up higher than 38 degree.
- Drink 500 mg paracetamol for adults every four hours or four times a day.
- Rest if you must to make yourself feel better because you are basically weak when sick. Make this as your top priority in order to spare other people from being sick as well.
- Eat nutritious foods especially those fruits that contains Vitamin C. Your body needs this for energy.
- Drink a lot of water and stay hydrated.
- Consume chicken soup.
- Make your room clean and comfortable to rest and avoid thinking of things that stresses you out.
- Take a hot shower if you have strength to move around but skip it if your body felt really weak.
- Take things easy with a positive attitude.
Also, another tip, you can take over-the-counter medicines such as pain reliever for fever and aches, lozenges for sore throat, decongestant for stuffiness, expectorant to thin mucus, and antihistamine to dry up a runny nose.
