Good News & Bad News About Coronavirus According to Dr. Willie Ong

CORONAVIRUS – Doctor Willie Ong explained the good news and the bad news about the COVID-19.

The confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines has reached 33 now. It was only last week when the record was ignited again after two (2) Filipinos tested positive for the disease.

Officially called as COVID-19, the disease first sprung in China in late December 2019. It held the mainland under an outbreak and Wuhan City, where it was first recorded, had to be locked down after over 70,000 people were infected in China.

In the Philippines, most of the confirmed patients of COVID-19 now are confined in the hospitals in Metro Manila. Some of them have a travel history to countries struck by the disease.

Amid the increasing cases of novel coronavirus in the Philippines, Dr. Willie Ong cited and explained the good news and the bad news about this disease.

The Bad News

According to Doc Willie, there is a possibility of a sustained transmission of COVID-19 not only in China but in other countries as well. He stressed that may spread and become a community outbreak.

The Good News

On the bright side, Doc Willie expressed that the mortality rate of COVID-19 is 2% only. It is higher than flu’s which is at 0.1% but it can still be reduced.

Based on the video of Dr. Willie Ong, to prevent coronavirus infection, it is important to avoid areas where infections have occurred. Also, we must wash our hands frequently and apply hand sanitizer after every contact with a public surface.

It is also advised to take a bath every day and observe proper hygiene. Praying will surely do a lot.
