AVOID GETTING SICK – Doctors Willie and Liza Ong gave some tips on how to prevent getting sick.
One of the challenges that we are facing everyday is to prevent ourselves from getting sick. Aside from the fact that most of us are attending to a lot of things daily that we cannot skip a day for bed, being sick is not at all a good feeling.
Most especially now that there is a global concern – the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in China and the reported cases in several countries, it is really important to keep an eye to our health. The authorities always encourage the people to boost their immune system.
In a video, Dr. Willie and Dr. Liza Ong generously gave some tips to avoid getting sick. According to the doctors, you may eat food that are in protein as it can help boost the immune system.
The immune system is the one fighting against the antigens, the virus and bacteria, so we will not get sick. Also, if you have a strong immune system, a recovery from any sickness takes faster.
Based on the video, Doc Willie and Doc Liza Ong also advise eating food with Vitamins A, C, and E; and minerals such as copper, potassium, zinc, and iron. It is also vital to take a lot of fluid to release the waste from the body. The doctors also suggest eating fruits for healthy bowel movement.
With regards to what to avoid to prevent sickness, Doc Willie and Doc Liza reminded the people to avoid eating noodles and eating only rice.
If you are already sick like for example you have fever, cough, and colds, there are things that you can do to recover fast. Based on the video, here are the tips you can follow to heal fast:
- Drink a lot of water.
- Eat fruits like melon, pineapple, lemon, calamansi, and mango.
- Eat soup.
- Eat vegetables like broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper.
- Gargle lukewarm water with salt.
- Prefer tea over coffee.
