Nowadays, a lot of people are worrying about the existence of the novel coronavirus or also called as nCoV. It was first recorded in Wuhan City in the province of Hubei, China.

In the Philippines, the couple who tested positive for nCoV came from Hong Kong and landed in Cebu. They also visited Dumaguete before they flew to Manila were they were admitted. The Chinese man died a few days after they were confined.

The airlines are now tracing the people they had the same flights with. Four people on the left, the ride, front, and back of the patients had to be informed and monitored.

In line with the novel coronavirus incidents, based on an article on Live Science citing the National Geographic, inside an airplane, the seats that is least likely to obtain the nCoV are the window seats. It is because the passengers seated next to the window have lesser contact with other passengers inside the plane as they pass the aisles.

However, may it be clarified that this may not apply in all cases. A person seated next to the window on the right side but also next to a person with coronavirus on the left may still be at risk.

Based on the article, inside an airplane, the most at risk are the people seated in the same row with the person with novel coronavirus. With regards to the goods from China, there’s low chance of getting infected as virus can survive only a few hours outside a host.
