Here are the reasons behind what appears to be a swelling face that you probably don’t know yet.
SWELLING FACE – These are the probable reasons why you are having a swollen face in order to identify what causes your own swelling.
What most people see first in a person is the face. The face initially represents a person. How a person appears is unique from one another and no one looks exactly alike unless he or she is your identical twin.
And sometimes, you notice some enlargement in your face. This is swelling and this is caused by a build-up of fluid or inflammation in the facial tissues. A puffy face is more noticeable in lips, cheeks, and eyelids.
Normally, you wake up to a puffy or swelling face but here are some other reasons why you get to experience this:
- Side effects of some medications for high blood pressure and diabetes, corticosteroids, estrogen, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
- An allergic reaction which may cause the face to puff, itchiness, and breathing problems. Antibiotics, aspirin, ibuprofen, anti-seizure meds, and others trigger this.
- A sting from a bee or other insects might also be the cause.
- Allergy from foods where some of the common triggers are fish, nuts, and dairy.
- Sinusitis causes swelling in nose, cheeks, eyes, and forehead.
- Contact dermatitis is when your body or your face reacts after touching certain objects like jewelry and plants. A makeup can also cause an allergic reaction.
- Superior Vena Cava Syndrome is vein that carries blood to several parts of the body like head, neck, and chest. However, if it gets blocked, the upper extremities of your body, face, arms, and get become swollen as per WebMD.
