HEALTH TIPS – Amid the coronavirus scare, Doc Willie Ong shares some effective health tips reduce stress in order to prevent possible health problems.

Stress have already become a part of a normal life but this doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t go away. Change is constant and in whatever situation you are now, know that in time, everything will turn around and will fall into its place.

Moreover, stressing out things will not solve anything and might just trigger your anxiety. Thus, manage your stress level and know that there are ways reduce it.

Here are some tips from health expert Doc Willie Ong:

  • Stay in the present. Think of now and do not fear of what will happen tomorrow or for the future. Do what you have to do NOW and do not overthink about what’s ahead.
  • Change your perspective and way of thinking. Do not think of yourself as least of all. Be grateful of the great things you have.
  • Fact-check your thoughts. Reassess what you are thinking and always think with positivity.
  • Breathe. Always breath in with the nose and breathe out with the mouth to make yourself relaxed in situations that stresses you out.
  • Get a hold of your thoughts and bring it to the present. See three things, hear three things, and move three things.
  • Do something. Move and be active to focus yourself into action.
  • Move around. Standing up straight and moving around through small exercises can ease out stress.
  • Avoid sugar. Too much sweetness can lead to some health problems and too much coffee causes palpitation. Drink water instead and eat bananas.
  • Ignore the news. Ignore negative news that stresses you and turn to those that give you positive energy.
  • Watch something funny. For some relaxation, watch something that will make you laugh, this way, stress will be reduced. Listen to relaxing music as well.
