What you should know about heart health and how to keep this organ healthy.
HEART HEALTH – Doc Willie Ong shares tips and ways in order to keep the heart, an essential organ of the body, in healthy state.
The organ that pumps blood throughout the body circulatory system and supplies oxygen and nutrients to the tissues is the heart. It also removes carbon dioxide in the body and among other wastes.
If this specific organ is not well taken cared of, certain severe diseases might develop. Take note that this organ works non-stop – beat by beat and second by second for 24 hours a day. It doesn’t take a rest.
And now, to keep it healthy, here are some tips from Doc Willie Ong which you should follow:
- Proper Oral Health – Make sure to brush your teeth on a regular basis and do flossing once a day. There are bacteria in the mouth that can enter the blood and eventually go directly to the heart.
- Pet Dog – Having a pet dog calms you and make you happy which is good for your heart. This is because a dog loves you in ways no animals could ever do except them.
- Laughing – Laughing in at least 15 minutes a day makes your body release endorphins. This also strengthens our immune system.
- Banana – This is a healthy fruit that contains potassium which is good for normal beating of the heart. It also has tryptophan which has positive effects in us.
- Sleeping and Resting – Enough rest and sleep is not just good for the heart but also good for the overall health.
- Anger – Avoid being angry to things and other incident as this is not good for the heart. Anger creates tension which, in sever cases, can lead to stroke or heart attack.
- Good Company – Having a good set of friends can make your heart happy. This is by conversing with them all your problems which can relieve stress.
- Being In Love – Being with the right person to be in a relationship with eases your stress in life and actually lengthens life by 7 years.
