HEALTHY VOICE – Here are the types foods that you must not eat if you want to maintain a good health and state for your voice.
If you are a singer or a teacher, voice is your main concern and this must be one of the top in your priorities as this is your main weapon. However, no matter who you are or no matter what your profession could be, the health of your voice must be just as important as the health of your body.
It is important to know that there a lot of factors out there than can potentially damage your voice. Among those include allergies, first hand and second hand smoking, overusing it, abusing it such as screaming, and many other causes.
Check out the foods below that you must not eat to keep your voice in good state:
- Too cold water.
- Avoid eating dairy products such as cheese, yogurt, ice cream, and others as these can create phlegm.
- Do not eat chips or peanuts before speaking in an important event or such similar circumstances because the fine pieces can leave inside your throat which will lead to choking or cracking or voice.
- Avoid spicy foods as this can lead to acid reflux which can irritation of your voice.
- Weight gain due to fast foods, oily foods, and fatty foods can affect your voice.
- Too salty foods, coffee, and chocolates can cause dryness in your throat directly affecting your voice.
- Drinking alcoholic beverage can increase the chance of bleeding in your throat. Aside from that, drinking can lead to dehydration.
- Smoking can lead swelling eventually damaging your vocal chords. Also, this bad habit causes throat cancer.
