Foods to eat to prevent breast cancer.
BREAST CANCER – Doctors Liza Ong and Willie Ond discussed healthy foods that we must eat in order for us to avoid obtaining breast cancer.
The most common invasive cancer in women and the second leading cause of cancer death in women is breast cancer. There are several rick factors such as age, genetics, history of breast cancer, alcohol consumption, radiation exposure, and among others. Even men can suffer this kind of disease but chances are very low.
Symptoms of this include:
- pitting or redness of the skin of the breast and similar to the surface of an orange
- lump that is either painful or not which is the most common symptom
- nipple retraction
- discharge from a nipple which possibly contains blood
- change in the size or shape of the breast
- pain in the armpits or breast
Here are the healthy foods that we must east to avoid it according to doctors Willie Ong and Liza Ong:
- Whole grains, beans, and legumes (e.g. monggo and string beans)
- Dark-colored vegetables and colorful fruits (e.g. eggplant, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, onion, apple, pears, strawberries, kangkong, ampalaya)
- Good fats (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, nuts, soy, omega 3 fatty acids from fish)
- Drink green tea
- Remain physically active
What to avoid?
- Alcoholic drinks will increase risk of breast cancer by 15%
- Sweets and oil due to its trans fat from french fries, donuts, pastries, donuts, and among others
- Red meat has high in fat, salt, and preservatives such as hotdog.
Other tips to avoid this type of cancer is through exercising, maintaining a healthy and ideal weight, avoid using hormone replacement therapy, and among others.
