Rice is a staple food in the Philippines – it is present in almost all meals in a Filipino household. Usually, for breakfast, it is either bread or rice but most people really have the latter to get ready for the day’s work.
Rice is paired with hotdog, ham, sausage, fried fish or any other morning viand. It is really part of the meal for lunch and dinner. For many people, none can replace the satisfaction of having a full meal.
However, there is always a confusion on which is a healthy choice as there are several types of rice. There is the white rice and the brown rice among others.
Actually, the word “healthier” depends on the nutrient’s that a specific person needs. The white rice may not be healthy for everyone just like the brown rice.
