Pregnancy is one of the things that many women are looking forward to. It is like an entrance to their dream of becoming a mother and finally experiencing what most moms say is the biggest event in their lives.
There are pregnancy symptoms that you can watch out for if you suspect that you are probably pregnant. You will miss your monthly period and may really feel different – a morning sickness, feeling agitated over the smell or taste of certain food, nausea, and a lot more.
However, these symptoms may all indicate pregnancy or another thing. One of the initial steps you must do is take a pregnancy test.
You can buy a pregnancy test kit at the pharmacy nearest to you or you can have your partner get one. Here are the steps on how to use it:
- Collect a sample of your urine from your first bathroom session in the morning.
- Place the urine in a clean and dry container.
- Open the pregnancy test kit and make sure that you don’t touch the test window.
- Get a dropper and get some urine from the container using the dropper and place it over the strip.
- Wait for 5-10 minutes to see the result.
With regards to reading the results of a pregnancy test, based on an article in India Times, here are the result indicators:
- 1 line means negative – If only one (1) line appeared on the strip, it means that you are not pregnant.
- 2 lines mean positive – If two (2) lines appeared on the strip, it means that you are pregnant.
After getting a positive result, it is best to see a doctor for further confirmation so your pregnancy will be guided.
