Endocrine glands make hormones and among the major endocrine glands are pituitary, pineal, thymus, thyroid, adrenal glands, and pancreas. Men produce hormones in their testes and women produce them in their ovaries.

Little changes in your hormones can make so much effect and lifestyle factor can affect them. Now, in terms of the happy hormones, since all of us wanted nothing but happiness, there are different types of this. There are also different techniques on how to boost them.

    This is the “feel-good” hormone that’s essential in your brain’s reward system and is associated with pleasurable sensations. You’d get a dopamine hit in situations like being praised in school or work for doing a good job.

    You can also do this by setting and doing realistic goals like tidying your desk or sticking to your workout schedule. Achieving these realistic goals will give you a dopamin hit.
  • Serotonin
    This is the hormone that regulates your mood, sleep, appetite, digestion, learning ability, and memory. And one way to boost this is by exercising. You ever wonder why doing physical activities improves your mood? This is why.
  • Oxytocin
    This is the one also called as the “love hormone” which is important in situations like childbirth, breastfeeding, and strong parent-child bonding. This helps promote trust, empathy, and bonding in relationships.

    How to hack love hormone? Spend time with your loved ones and be kind to others. Oxytocin levels also increases when being physically active like kissing and cuddling.
  • Progesterone
    The hormone that helps you sleep well. It also eases off anxiety, irritability and mood swings.
  • Endorphins
    This is your body’s natural pain killers and one of the best way to spike up your endorphins level is to do a cardiovascular exercise, eating, and some reward-producing activities.
