FACIAL EXERCISES – Are facial exercises bogus or not? Here are some things to know about exercises that will accordingly sculpt the face.
All muscles are designed to move and that applies to our face as well which is composed of muscles. And since it has muscle, it must also deserve some working out. Some experts believe that practicing facial exercises may slow down the aging process, relieve tension, and help tone your face’s muscles.
Just like with any exercises for the body, there were types designed to target certain muscles and the key to achieving your wanted facial structure is to be consistent in doing it. You can never expect instant results after just one session.
According to a 2018 study published in the journal JAMA Dermatology, it has been discovered that regular practicing it will help improve facial features like cheek fullness and gives the person a younger-looking face.
Northwestern Medicine dermatologist Murad Alam, MD said that this may also help reduce the appearance of the signs of aging. He said, “Now there is some evidence that facial exercises may improve facial appearance and reduce some visible signs of aging.”
The result of doing this may appear if you do it 30 minutes a day for 20 weeks.
On the other hand, Suzanne Olbricht, an associate professor of dermatology at Harvard Medical School said that “there really aren’t any good, rigorous, scientific studies that verify claims that face workouts are effective”.
But here are some of the benefits it can actually do to the face based on the post:

- It may, theoretically, “help with gravity-related fat loss or redistribution on the face”.
