DARK UNDERARMS – Health expert Doc Liza Ong shares some natural and effective home remedies to whiten your dark underarms.
Having dark underarms may not indicate serious health problems but this can be embarrassing. You want to wear that tank top and swimsuit but hesitant because you are afraid people might see it. Well, worry no more. There are natural remedies you can find inside your home for you to solve this problem.
Here are some tips from Doc Liza Ong on how to naturally whiten your dark underarms:
- Cucumber – Juice out your cucumber and apply on your underarms. It has a natural bleaching property. After applying, leave it there for 30 minutes before washing.
- Coconut Oil – Apply and massage for 10 to 15 minutes before washing it out with water and mild soap. Do this method twice a day.
Also, you can consult a dermatologist for this as they can give you the right medication to whiten that part of your body. Moreover, there are several causes as to why it is dark in that particular part of your body.
Here are some reasons why:
- being morena
- diabetes (uncontrolled sugar can cause darkening of skin)
- being fat or obese (this is because of tight clothing)
- excessive scrubbing of your underarm
- plucking of hairs
- shaving
- strong chemicals from deodorants and anti-perspirants
Accordingly, dermatologists suggest that you have to use mild products for your underarms such as mild cleansers and mild soap. You can also apply moisturizing cream, lotion, or oil to keep it soft.
