UPSET STOMACH – Here are the things that we must do if we have an upset stomach according to health expert Doc Willie Ong.
Feeling queasy and a churning stomach might be telling you something about your current condition or state. It may not be something serious but this can turn your normal day into a rough one.
According to Doc Willie Ong, in some cases, the sound may come from the small intestine especially when you are hungry. Stress also contributes to this condition and it produces acid in the stomach. Meanwhile, to others, they suffer from diarrhea.
There is also a case called “Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)” which is a common disorder affecting the large intestine. A managed diet, lifestyle, and stress can control IBS. Foods you eat, stress, and hormones triggers this.
Here are some tips on how to treat an upset stomach:
- Eat bananas.
- Eat vegetables that are high in fiber.
- Eat fruits.
Meanwhile, according to a report from Medical News Today, an upset stomach also comes along with indigestion with common symptoms including acid reflux, bloating, bad breath, farting, gas, belching, hiccuping, and among others.
Home remedies to these conditions are the following accordingly:
- drinking water
- avoid lying down
- eat or boil and drink ginger
- warm bath
- BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast)
- avoid foods such as fried or fatty, rich or creamy, and salty or heavily preserved for they are hard to digest.
- coconut water
- avoid smoking and drinking of alcohol
- aloe juice
- rice
- bananas
