COVID-19 – The World Health Organization (WHO) cited six (6) protective measures against the coronavirus.

Currently, several countries across the globe are fighting against rampant coronavirus infections. Officially called as COVID-19, this disease has affected the Philippines, Iran, South Korea, Italy, and the United States among other nations.

The said new strain of coronavirus was first recorded in Wuhan City, China. It lodged an outbreak and it did the same in Italy. Undeniably, containing the spread of the infection is one big challenge as it can infect quickly.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is one of the prime movers against the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus. On its official website, it listed six (6) protective measures against COVID-19 infection:

1. Wash your hands frequently.

It is important to wash your hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rubs. It is a move to cut the existence of virus.

2. Maintain social distancing.

WHO suggests taking at least one-meter gap from another person to prevent coronavirus infection. It is important to observe it always most especially in public places.

3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Our hands may pick-up viruses. It is important not to touch the point of entries to our bodies with our hands as it may be contaminated.

4. Practice respiratory hygiene.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough. The same thing must be done when you sneeze.

5. Seek medical attention right away if you are experiencing the sympyoms.

The coronavirus symptoms include cough, fever, and breathing difficulties. If you are experiencing any of these, it is best to seek medical attention right away according to WHO. You may do it through a phone call.

6. Stay informed.
