Undeniably, one of the most common problems among many people are pimples. Both men and women are not exempted from it.

Pimples may be due to several factors including improper hygiene and skin type. Usually, it starts to appear during the adolescence years. Some have a breakout during these years and it will eventually heal.

However, in other cases, the skin condition never heals and only goes deeper. Actually, according to Dr. Winlove Mojica, a dermatologist, they are not anymore pimples but boil or pigsa.

Boil or Pigsa

In a video, Dr. Winlove Mojica stressed that a pimple has the capacity to heal on its own while boil or pigsa becomes cellulitis, sepsis, or, worst, it can infect the blood. The latter may cost a life.

Doc Winlove also revealed that boil in the chest are worse than those in the face. They may also be found in hair follicle or oil glands.

With regards to the cause of boil, in the video, the doctor pointed out that the bacteria staphylococcus aureus is carrier of the said skin condition. These bacteria can be found in the groin areas, the mouth, the ears, the nose, and the underarms.

According to Dr. Winlove Mojica, if you have boil or pigsa, you may use the typical salicylic acid to treat it. If this won’t work on you, it is best to have it checked by the doctor as the bacteria that affected you may have developed immunity from it.
