Dr. Willie Ong Gives Tips On Weight Loss & Diet
WEIGHT LOSS & DIET – Doctor Willie Ong shared some tips on shedding the extra pounds through diet.
Many people are facing obesity problems while some struggle over continuous weight increase. Obesity can affect anyone regardless whether you are a man or a woman. As long as you don’t plan your diet carefully, there is a big chance that you will keep on gaining extra pounds.
The physical appearance is the least factor that we must consider when we talk about obesity. The most important are its effects on the health of a person. Obese people have greater risks to cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, and joint problems.
Before this happens to you, it is best to consider some weight loss and diet tips. Keep you bodies healthy through these tips from Dr. Willie Ong about losing weight:
1. Use a smaller plate. Doc Willie advises using a 9-inch plate instead of an 11-inch one to reduce the food in take by at least 15%. Also, it is recommended that you will not go for another serving.
2. Eat banana or apple. In case you feel hungry, consider eating a banana or an apple which can help you feel full quickly and until the next meal.
3. Check on the nutritional label. When buying some groceries, check the nutritional label of the products you are purchasing. Plan a meal that has 300-400 calories and consider the white bread over other breads.
4. Eat more vegetables. According to Doc Willie, one of the best ways for weight loss and diet is to eat more vegetables like broccoli and lettuce. It is advised that 50% of your plate is filled with healthy vegetables.
5. Avoid sweet drinks. To lose the extra pounds, consider avoiding sweet drinks such as soda, fruit juices, and iced tea.
6. Buy a weighing scale. Purchase a weighing scale and weigh yourself every two(2) to three(3) days. In case there is a two(2) to three(3) pounds of increase from your previous weight, cut a portion of your usual food consumption.
