Your body needs a certain amount of vitamins and minerals to keep it healthy. However, you cannot always be sure that your food intake can contribute to your goal of maintaining a good condition. So, how can you assure that your are giving your body what it really needs?

Luscious and shiny hair
A 2019 dermatology study stated that thinning hair or prematurely graying hair can sometimes be signs of vitamin deficiency. However, it is just normal to shed between 50 and 100 strands of hair a day.
Have a decent amount of energy
A study conducted in 2020 suggested that if you generally have enough energy to power your usual activities, most likely you are getting the vitamins and minerals you need.
Healthy fingernails
If you have smooth and strong nails, this can be an indication of good nutrition. You may be suffering from iron or B-vitamin deficiencies if you have nails with ridges, spoon-shaped divots and nails that crack easily.
No unexplainable bruises
Vitamin C and vitamin K help your body in healing injuries and clot blood. The absence of these vitamins can lead to having bruises easily. You are getting these vitamins if your body is clear of purplish spots and minor cuts quickly heal.
Can clear a virus
Certain vitamins and minerals can help your body fight a cold. A typical cold should clear up in about a week, give or take a couple days, and a healthy body can contribute to this.
Feel pretty good
If generally you are feeling good, most probably you are getting healthy substances from what you eat.
