Famous doctor for famous celebrities Dra. Vicki Belo is regarded as the top beauty expert in the country who established the Belo Medical Group over 30 years ago. They pioneered several beauty breakthroughs such as liposuction, surgical and non-surgical procedures, lasers, and more.
And they are also the first aesthetic clinic to introduce to the Philippines methods like Picosure, Lutronic GENIUS, Thermage, ADVATx, and many more. The doctor herself was bullied during her younger years which made her dream to build something to help people overcome their insecurities. She wanted to make everyone look beautiful because she believes that “if we were all beautiful, we would be judged based on the essentials: character, intelligence, and hard work”.
With her expertise, here are some of her tips and opinion about these famous tools and hacks for beauty which she herself has also tried:
- Emerald Roller or other types of the roller may have some beneficial effects due to the rolling motion it does that may affect circulation in the face. However, she doesn’t think it works but it may also be not that bad to be of use. Roll gently.
- Facial vacuum is a “no” for the expert for it doesn’t necessarily work. Also, the suction pressure it creates to get the blackheads or whiteheads damage the skin and at times, leave dark marks.
- The facial cleanser brush is something she loves because it makes good exfoliation to her face. The only con about this is hygiene. Bacteria builds up fast into it if it is just placed damp in a dark corner of the bathroom. Make sure to accordingly clean it every day properly and don’t be too rough when using it.
- Pore strips are also a no for her because the process and the peeling part are quite aggressive for the skin.
