STRESS BENEFITS – Dr. Willie Ong discussed in a video the advantages that people can actually get from stress.
Every day, we are exposed to a lot of factors that can cause us stress. It can be due to the things at home, at school, at work, in our relationships, in our aspirations, etc. There are a lot of things that may not go the way we wanted them to and whole being would be shocked.
With regards to this, there are people who are good at handling stress. They can still eat and sleep like they usually do amid the stressful situations. Unfortunately, there are those who cannot cope well with it.

Through a video posted on YouTube, Doc Willie Ong spoke about the rarely known stress benefits. According to the doctor, the said condition is actually a reaction of the body which requires a response or adjustment. The reaction may involve the physical, mental, and emotional aspect of a person.
Doc Willie stated that there are two(2) types of stress – the adrenaline and the cortisol. The former is known as the “fight or flight hormone” and is produced when the adrenal glands receives a message about a stressful situation from the brain. The latter is the “stress hormone”.
The doctor stated that stress is a normal part of life. We can get it anywhere and even from our own thoughts. The challenge is on how we can make something good out of it.
According to Doc Willie Ong, here are the stress benefits or how you can use it to improve and strengthen yourself:
- When you are under a stressful situation, take it as an opportunity to be better, stronger, and more intelligent.
- Look at the negative things or the source of your stress positively.
- Do not let stress outpower you.
- To reduce your stress level, helping other people can really do a lot.
- Always think that there is a blessing in the end of everything.
