One of the most prohibited habits that all health experts say people should quit on doing is smoking. It is generally bad for the overall health of the body, causes complications, and can also affect other persons who don’t do it.

Meanwhile, once a person gets addicted to this vice, it is already hard to quit at such. And there’s an explanation behind this according to public health expert Doc Willie Ong.

Accordingly, it contains substance called nicotine considered to be the one responsible as to the reason why it becomes so addictive and that it’s not easy for a certain person to quit this kind of habit. When it reaches the brain, it releases chemicals such as norepinephrine and dopamine.

These two chemicals make a person feel good. But being high in nicotine don’t last long. And by this, you will develop tolerance to it resulting to smoking more sticks to get that good feeling again until you get addicted to it. Like a day is incomplete without you puffing in and out of smoke and that you feel weak without it.

Also, there will always be certain circumstances that will trigger you to do this like seeing a stick or pack, seeing someone doing it, the smell of ashtray, after eating, feeling sad or happy, and even just merely drinking a coffee.

Quitting from this habit is a difficult and tough process and it could be because of these reasons:

  1. the number of cigar sticks you consume everyday
  2. the people around you who also do this
  3. the reason behind why you are doing this
