Lexx Brown-James, Ph.D., LMFT explained that cuddling may also indicate a sign or way to initiate to do the “s” thing or something you do as aftercare after doing it. Or simply put, it could be just a couple’s way to bond and create a deeper connection with each other. This physical activity triggers the release of oxytocin and dopamine, the feel-good hormone, hence, the feeling of deeper closeness.
