To make sure they comply with the dietary requirements of the body, a lot of people consider taking vitamins. These are healthy capsules or tablets that can help make up for the need for iron, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, etc.

However, despite how healthy vitamins are, there are things you must not do when taking them. Based on an article on Healthline, when you are taking a prescription drug, it is important not to take your supplements unless your doctor says it has no negative interaction between them.

Based on the article, it is also not good to take vitamin K supplements with coumadin, a blood thinner warfarin. Furthermore, do not take more than the recommended amount of vitamins as it may also result to an overdose.

If you are carrying a baby in your womb, do not take double of your pre-natal vitamins. For example, you need some iron. Take your pre-natal vitamin and an iron supplement but do not double the former. It may be bad for the growing baby.

Another thing you must not do is neglect the nutritional content of the food you eat. Many food are already loaded with vitamins thus taking supplements may result to an overdose.
