SKIN ALLERGY – Doctor Liza Ramoso-Ong revealed the ways on how to avoid it or skin asthma which usually targets small children.

A lot of people are suffering from skin allergy or asthma. Most of these people are babies due to the fact that they are very sensitive from a lot of factors. It is important that we know what are the possible causes of this health condition to avoid it.

Through a video posted on YouTube, Doc Liza Ong generously revealed what to do if you are suffering from skin allergy or asthma. She also cited the most common causes why this happens to the skin. According to her, it can be due to an allergy from:

  • dust
  • sweat
  • stress
  • perfume / cologne
  • chemicals

Doc Liza advises that the affected area should not be scratched as it can lead to a worse condition and can widen the affected area. She also suggests the application of steroid creams under the supervision of a skin expert or dermatologist.

Aside from leaving the affected area unscratched and applying some steroid creams, the doctor also revealed other ways on how to avoid skin allergy or asthma. Here is a list of the pieces of advice from Doc Liza:

1. Take only a quick shower and apply a moisturizing lotion twice or thrice a day after taking a shower.

2. Wear mittens when sleeping to avoid scratching the areas that have eczema and you may also cover it with cling wrap.

3. Exercise to release stress and then take a rest for fifteen(15) minutes before taking a shower.

4. Jot down all the food that are causing you allergy and avoid them.

5. Clean the house well as the dust is one of the major triggers of skin allergy or asthma.

6. See a dermatologist to be given the appropriate anti-allergy tablet.
