Worried, stressed, or even down. At some point, people experience these over things that are going on in their lives. And there are a number of factors that make an impact on our mental health to which these factors can either pose a risk to, or protect your well-being.

And on the list, these are some things that are harmful to your health, in the mental aspect, which you probably do without even realizing it:

  • Stop dwelling in the past.
    Leave the past and accept your mistake. Those have happened for a reason, thus, you must stop dwelling over some thing you should have done. Recalling stressful situations is called ruminating and this can make someone depress over time.
  • Fixed mindset.
    Your qualities can be changed. But if you think that it is not, then you have this fixed mindset which is not mentally healthy. Learn other things and let yourself grow by feeding your mind with new and good things. Embrace failures.
  • Excessively seeking reassurance.
    To seek assurance from other people is not healthy for you. What you think is beautiful but isn’t for them might lead to depression in your part. Stop seeking that assurance and validation from other people. Surround yourself with people who genuinely cares about you and happy to whatever you do.
  • Unrealistic expectations.
    To set an unrealistic expectation and thinking of perfection all the time often lead to disappointment. Assess the expectations you hold for yourself and to others as per post.
