We all want to achieve a skin free of pimples, dark marks, dark circles, and fine lines. We all want to achieve that one pinkish in color, clear, and with the youthful glow. And the medical experts Doc Willie Ong and Doc Liza Ong have shared some basic yet important things we should know to help us obtain this kind of skin.

Here are some basic beauty tips to obtain a clearer and more beautiful skin:

  • Avoid too much exposure to sunlight as it will damage the skin and will eventually burn it and will show dark spots, age spots, and melasma. Use sunblock.
  • Have enough sleep and beauty rest. Lack of sleep can cause creases and folds in the face.
  • Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol.
  • Always be gentle with the face especially when cleansing. Don’t be too harsh on it when rinsing.
  • Avoid stress.
  • In washing your face, look for a product with mild astringent and not alcohol-based so as not to dry the face. Do it twice a day.
  • As per the moisturizer, moisturize the face and the whole body after taking a bath. There is a different moisturizer for the face and a different moisturizer for the whole body.
  • Foods that are good for the skin:
    • Vitamin E rich foods: peanuts, almonds, cashew, peanut butter, spinach, green leafy vegetables, avocado, turnip, mango, tomato, sweet potatoes, squash
  • Take eight to ten glasses of water everyday for smoothness of the skin.
  • Green tea for anti-inflammation.
