Wheat Bread for Breakfast Not A Good Idea? Here’s Why

Effects of Having Wheat Bread for Breakfast

WHEAT BREAD – While it sounds healthy, it may not be a perfect choice for breakfast according to Daily Harvest nutritionist Dawn Jackson explained why.

Among the three (3) main meals of the day, the most important is breakfast – the meal that kickstarts the day. However, this is not a way to take lunch and dinner for granted. All of them are valuable it is just that there is an edge if you do take breakfasts seriously.

Truth be told that some people are used to not having a proper breakfast. There are many individuals who are used to just drinking a cup of coffee in the morning to start the day.

However, while it is okay with you, it may not help the body achieve its full potential. With regards to food, many people also settle for a slice of loaf bread which may not actually sustain the body.

Are you one of those people who are used to having just a slice or two of loaf bread in the morning? Do you know that even if it is wheat bread on the label, it can still be not a good idea for breakfast?

Based on an article on Eat This, Not That!, Daily Harvest nutritionist and The Superfood Swap author Dawn Jackson Blatner stressed that most of the time, “wheat bread” are actually just refined white bread and not “whole wheat”.

The nutritionist stressed that refined white bread can cause a roller coaster on your blood sugar and energy levels bringing it so high and followed by an instant downfall. Instead of a wheat bread, it is best to have a “sprouted whole grain bread” for excellent benefits to the body. You may add avocado, hemp seeds, or an organic egg, too.
